This is a really great recipe my mom found on the internet.  Do you want to try it?

One reason mom made it is because it can be non-dairy.

We substituted lard for butter, whole wheat for regular flour (of course), and used half of the sugar. We also used fresh squeezed juice.  It was really good.

I'll make a new post soon!

  1. Hi Lane,

This recipe looks really yummy. We can get oranges here in China so I think we will give it a try. We cannot get lard so I guess we will use butter.

Did you also make the orange syrup? How was it? I think that really sounds tasty. Let me know what you thought of it if you tried it.

Thanks again for doing this blog, I love having new ideas for things to cook. (: love and kisses, Grandma Marcia
