B-B-Banana Pancakes
We created this recipe a few days ago, but we had it again today.  That’s why I’m posting this.  The first time we ate this was on a car trip (it wasn’t a long one, it was just to do some school in the car).  They are good for car trips because they give you energy, they taste good, and they are quick and easy to make.  My mom likes this recipe in the car because it’s not that spilly.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour (preferably fresh ground whole wheat!)
3 tsp double acting baking powder
     ½ tsp salt

     2 overripe bananas, mashed

      2 eggs, slightly beaten
     2 cups milk

     ¼ cup oil or yogurt

     1 tsp. vanilla

Process:
     1.  Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.  Then mix them together and cook as you would any pancakes.
     2.  You don’t have to put any toppings on, but you can. Also, you can add chocolate chips in the batter.

This is a perfect birthday breakfast recipe.

We ate focaccia at a Presidents' Day Eve Party with the family in our dining room.

I loved it because it had tomatoes and basil and cheese.  I decided to try balsamic vinegar on it and it was really good.

Watch for tomorrow's post.

Berry yogurt pudding recipe

Here's a recipe for Yogurt Pudding.  I've tried it, it's really good, and I think you should try it out, too.

*(Alyssa) I modified this recipe by using rice flour instead of corn flour, doubling the recipe, and using frozen strawberries.  It took a long time to bake and was still quite wet, but the boys liked it.

I (Lane) created this recipe for Valentine's Day.  We like this recipe because it's a good combination of chocolate, peanut butter and apple.  If anyone has peanut allergies, substitute another ingredient for the peanut butter.

Super Apple
Ingredients:
      1 apple
      Peanut butter
     Dark chocolate chips

To make:
     1.  Cut the apple in half.

     2.  Cut out the seed parts.
     3.  Put peanut butter in the hole of the apple.
     4.  Melt the chocolate in the microwave.  We did it for 10 seconds and then stirred it around. Repeat process until chocolate is completely melted.
     5.  Dip the flat part of the apples in the chocolate.
     6.  Let cool until the chocolate is hard.

Enjoy!

Here's a really good recipe we've got.  Want to try it out?  Here's the link.  My mom has used steel cut oats, quinoa, rolled oats, and brown rice in this recipe.  100% Whole Grain Struan (Peter Reinhart)
